Simplify: Fall 2023

Jesus taught us, “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” What if by focusing on one thing, we could gain everything that really mattered? What if chasing after everything, landed us with a lot of... well, nothing?

Simplicity isn’t about things being easy or carefree. It’s about setting priorities, ordering our attentions, and putting first things first. We all know too well, the stress and tension we carry in our bodies, rising up from torn and divided hearts and minds. A more singular vision promises us more well-being, from less distraction.

The Simplify Study is an invitation to a rich, intentional, purposeful, and examined life. You can join a participating small group (a related announcement has more on how to join) or follow along yourself as our community roots out the inordinate attachments occupying central space in our hearts. Together, we’ll lay before the Lord all the clutter, to be reordered, or maybe let go of entirely. “‘Tis the gift to be simple,” so goes the hymn... “’Tis the gift to be free.”

We hope you’ll Simplify with us this fall, pursuing life that is truly life.
