Youth Ministry Volunteers

We need youth leaders who are passionate about getting to know students and seeing them come to know Jesus. Our youth ministry (called ASFY) strives to create a safe space to engage students and their families with Jesus. We do this in Youth Sunday School, in bi-weekly Small Groups in local homes, and through various fun events and trips throughout the year.

Along with being passionate about getting to know students and spending time with them, youth leaders will also have opportunities to lead games, teach Bible lessons and lead small group discussions.

Details about the position:

  • Youth leaders must have a growing relationship with Christ and be members of All Souls. They also must agree to abide by all the safety policies that are outlined in the Youth Ministry Handbook.

Youth leaders are encouraged to commit to one of the following parts of the youth ministry:

    • Middle or High School Sunday School (Twice per month; preparing for and leading the mornings lesson with assigned grade).

    • Middle or High School Small Group Leaders (Serve twice a month by leading a group of guys or girls in discussion and study of curriculum that is organized by the Youth staff. These meetings will take place in local homes.)

    • Middle or High School Small Group Hosts (Serve a small group twice a month by opening your home for a place for them to meet. The host will be there and available to be involved in the group, but is not responsible for the main leadership of the group–the host’s main responsibility is to provide a safe and consistent space for these groups to meet.)

    • Middle and High School Chaperones (Serve as a chaperone for special trips and activities throughout the ministry year. The chaperone will be there and available to be involved in the group, but is only responsible for an assigned smaller group within the larger group. The chaperone’s main responsibility with the larger group is to help the youth leader keep the group safe and the trip or activity running smoothly.)
