Fall 2022 Study | Future:Present

During Fall 2022, we learned about our All Souls Mission Measures and took inventory of ourselves as a church. We asked questions like, “How are we being shaped by God’s presence in our lives?” and “In what ways are we practicing the way of Jesus for the renewal of all things?”

10 groups went through the Future:Present Community Guide.

The thing I’m loving about the study is the opportunity to practice time with God and learning about Him in different ways. In the guide, there are prayers, readings, and surveys. It’s full of beautiful insights to help us grow together in Jesus as a group.

Engaging Together as Men

Over the past year, our Men’s Ministry hosted breakfast events focused on formation discussing topics such as fruitful living and the relationship of faith and work. Special thanks to Three Taverns Brewery for hosting.

Men’s Breakfasts

6 Men’s Breakfasts were hosted by the Men’s Ministry this year.

Men’s breakfast feeds both my stomach and my soul.

Lent 2022 Study | Shaped by the Story

Our practice during Lent focused on how to read the Bible for formation: to shape us into the image of Jesus for the sake of others.

11 groups participated in the Shaped by the Story Community Guide.

The Lenten study this year, Shaped by the Story, was especially rich as we discussed during our Thursday morning time. Looking at the Bible in new ways, and not just as a story or group of writings that made the cut was new to me and led to rich discussions each week. We discussed meditation and memorization. I especially loved the practice of lectio divina and other imaginative ways to enter into the Word.
